In this pic (I just noticed) I posted in my intro, you can see the front wheel fender (mudguard?) is broken at the screw:

When I took it apart, both pieces were broken and most of the bits were missing. I recently trashed a car in a racing accident so found suitable donor plastic there and got stuck in:

It is never going to be pretty without a decent finishing and respray of the fender, so I cheated by hiding it away under some carbon-fibre look vinyl wrap:

Job done!

The wide-awake set will also notice the BLANG 6-pots I fitted.
DAYMN! I need to give this bike a decent clean.

hey brettzzr ive been looking into the gsxr brake upgrade aswell, my problem is i can't seem to find the bolt and sleeve kit for the coversion, it seems the link i have been giving is no longer working/available.
so my question is did you make your own kit up or do you have a link to the place you got a kit. i know the kit is only a couple sleeve's to go from m10 to m8 bolts an a 2mm spacer to centre the caliper and some high tensile bolts, but i reckon if i can buy an pre made kit that would be alot easier.
any help would be great mate, and good job on the front fender too.
thanks

I was lucky enough to find a bloke that sold me the kit complete.
I'll look around and see if i can find the spacers from an engineering place here.
Reminds me - I still need to center the calipers!

ooohh if the guy gave you the kit the sleeve with the washer type end goes in from behind the fork and sits between the fork and caliper and that's what centres the caliper.
you prob already know this as you got the kit and i don't but just incase haahahaha

Yeah, I put them in the other way for now as I didn't want the smaller heads of the button-head capscrews 'pulling into' the bores intended for the bigger original bolts. I'd need washers there anyway, so I'll rather get bigger SS washers and use them for the centralising duty?
But thanks for the heads-up!

Oh... there is a bloke in the UK that had to buy a min order of these so has a spare set. Shall I find out, and put you onto him?

Slightly more elegant engineering solution, but not in stainless steel.

yeah thanks that would be great, they would be high tensile though wouldn't they?
thanks
