Hi All,
I am ashamed to say that my bike currently has odd grips (one different to the other)

this has to be rectified asap ..
Whats the best grips I can buy? something with decent vibration dampening.. I hear about gel grips etc but are there any particular brands to watch out for?
I did try going through the search forum function but didnt turn up much except some references to 'harris grips' - is this what i should be looking out for?
Cheers.

I prefer a forehand grip. Back hand is OK for a change, but I muc.........Oh......GRIPS!!!!!

The expensive ones arn't always the best. Go have a little look, have a feel and check quality and lash out and take a risk!!!! I like factory stuff personally, but If I can't get that, or it's too exxie I buy the cheap ones from China! I have a set on the race bike which still pass scrutineering 12 years on!!!!!!

Velo Sport was the brand! Named Superbike Grips!!!!

But hey, they grip, they crash and they sure as hell last!!!!!

Thanks for the replies..
I agree most expensive is not always the best.
I had pro-grips on my old yamaha dt200 i didn't mind them prettty decent but have never had to by road bike grips before.
My old mans Z900 has foam grips that are easily 20yrs+ old but suprisingly still holding up!
The harris grips sound good with all their techno babble polymer layers etc etc whatever that means but they tend to look a bit fancy in that kinda rice-boy way.
I guess the general consensus is what i should do is really just go and pick anything that feels good and looks good.
Though I think i will avoid the new yamaha dealer that opened up right around the corner.. Tried to sting me $74 for a new clear visor, when i cried out in shock he offered trade price.. $71. I went down the road and bought for $59!

Renthal Road Race grips in medium compound.
These grips are really tacky. Even in pissing rain these puppies are grippy as.
You can get them in soft, Medium or hard.
Only bad point is they are plain gray.
I have had harris grips twice now. I found them to discolour quickly in the sun and compared to the Renthal grip's they are like having a block of wet soap to hold.

I still use these - Got a few sets on sale about 10 years ago, they last well, give great grip, and still look good after all this time.....there is a set on the Black Pearl, a set on the KLz750MX, a set on my other Z.....and a couple of spare sets still in stock....

not really

I have 1 set to go on the P5 racer, and another set put away for the Pearl....
If I find anymore, you'll be the first to know....
What about those cool red foam grips ?? Red = Fast, and they look cool and stop all those nasty vibrations ....

I use Renthals in medium compound as well...
What ever you go with spray some hairspray in your new grip befor you put it on, it'll hold on better.
