Pillion peg removal...

Hey guys, removing the left pillion peg is easy enough, but removing the right one would leave the exhaust hanging in the air.... I have seen one person with a flimsy little piece of metal in between, does anyone here have an engineering shop that can create a replacement bracket that can hold up the exhaust and stop it from moving around too much?

you can make yourself all you need is a angle grinder and some sheet metal.

You can always just remove the right-hand pillion peg, leaving the bracket in place. That's what I had on my R1 way back when...

I am with I-K here
remove entire LH assy
and just remove the flip out peg on the RH side

Naaah, it leaves a big bulky area where the foot rest used to go.... I was hoping for something that kinda looks like the origional without the footpeggy thingee...

well take the braket to a boiler maker and get a copy without the peg set.

i have definitely seen soemthing stereo mentioned and available on ebay, like a cooler looking peiece of metal that replaces the exisitng, but i can't rememeber which part in ebay

Exhaust hangers are available in lots of places

Something like this is avail from Busters (UK site) for £39

Geeze all these "get an exhaust bracket replies"!!....seriously Stereo the only real answer is to completly re route the exhaust up under the tail, fabricating connector pipes, mounting brackets and fitting a new Micron can. Also change over your chassis, enginge, wheels brakes and faring to match an 05 model and you're all done NB: you must also change the colour to blue as this is the fastest known variant. It's not that hard...heres one I prepared earlier:

3 s/s spacers and a 2 bits of s/s rod polished up look the bling mate.
Get the gen size off the original.

I had a c/f one on the 12 thats now a splintered mess...

You can also do the cut the orig thing, if you then attack it with of those layered wheels on an angle grinder you can make it look custom too!
This is the cheap way to go and still look "bling".
Dont forget they wont be holding a pillions wieght so you can go the hog with a drill etc. as well

yea ive seen a stack of sites with the pipe hangers in s/s , carbon, tittanium...shit u name it....
