My baby's back on the road.

After sitting in billy's garage since australia day, i finally thought i should bring my zx9 back to life. but apparantly it was enjoying it's hibernation, it wouldn't start.
OK, whipped the plugs out, no spark. bugger.
quick burn over the gas cooker and a hit with the emry board and the plugs were as good as new.
in they went, should be OK now.
nup flattened the batter. bugger again.
jumped it and it sprung to life. sorta.
bugger for the third time, the chains as loose as brett's mum, and a little bit rusty (same analogy applies).
OK new chain req, may as well get new sprockets as well. well hey, may as well go down a tooth on the front sprocket. can't be that hard.
bought a chain breaker and riveter from PS with chain and sprockets. it broke. bugger for the fourth time.
so rossi brings out the grinder and centre punch, ooooh this is gonna be painful. and it was. rossi now has no fingertips left and invented half a dozen new swear-words.
broke the chain, sprockets off cleaned the crap out, new sprockets on, new chain on and we're good to go, right?
wrong. battery's still dead, not charging. massive bugger!
jumped it again and learnt what people mean when they say they can't keep the front wheel on the deck. love it!

all in all it was a big few days travelling from tullamarine to bentleigh and back 3 or 4 times.
but a big thanks to rossi, for pretty much doin all the work.
and to linda for making me coffe and feeding me smokes. oh and well done linda, you got that torch back together easily without any assistance

see you on the roads

smitty, i got the chain and sprockets there as well.
i've also bought a helmet, jacket, gloves and other little bits and pieces from there and always found them to be reasonably priced and good service.

but i was probably just exteremly lucky.

And in Mina's world the sky is purple, and people are green.....

PS are a bunch of farkin iceholes.... and if it wasnt for their excellent selection in helmets and stuff I wouldnt go in there at all... They farked up the last job I gave them, and then refused to consider fixing it properly.... The manager would not return my calls and his staff were just downright rude... In the past I have spent more than 16 thousand dollars with them, and if i can avoid it they will never see another cent of my money...

yes the sky is purple and the people are green. :)

sorry mate, i know a few people that work there and manage there and i've always had great dealings with them.

if ur talking about the workshop, ur 100% right. they are cunts. They even treat the other employees like shit.

for gear there are the place to go but for anything else forget it. unless its new honda sales cos my mate manages that.

sorry to steal ur thunder vince, but to add....

may people have dealt with our sponsors and some are not as big at PS and they still get shit service. some places are good and some places are shit house, it depends who u deal with.

i have dealt with a motorcycle mechanic and by the end of the job i had the fooker up against a wall and he was shitting bricks and my brother had to pull me off the cunt and i know people that have dealt with him and think he is good.

PS, brighton kwaka, cosways etc etc might work for someone but not the other.

its all personal preference and also who u know and get along with.

Anyway back to topic.

good stuff vince. keep the fooker upright.
