catching in neutral

Postby mohawk miss » Tue Apr 18, 2006 5:44 pm

Just lately my '99 zzr250 seems to be "catching" in neutral a bit. It was only when fairly hot but last coupla outings has been when cold. Also had its first "false neutral" suprise moment on monday.

Is this to be expected, or a sign of something dire? :x I'm not losing sleep over it, but it is a little annoying. Would rather not have to have another service done so soon if possible.
I used to have a handle on Life,
but it fell off.

The chain may need adjusting.
Some nice fresh oil may also help.

To avoid your false neutrals hold pressure on the gear lever until after you've let the clutch out. Takes a bit of getting used to but you'll never find a false neutral again.
