I've done 'em on cars before but not bikes. In this case I'm looking at a GPX250 but it's probably similar to most other kwakas.
The clutch as far as I can tell is pretty straightforward, but having looked in the manual I need a 'clutch holder' tool which is something I'm not used to on cars. Normally you just put a big bar on the crank pulley, or chain the flywheel to the block, if you need to stop it spinning. I can probably bodge something up somehow, but I'd prefer to know in advance if I'll need to the kawasaki tool or if I can indeed get around it... be annoyed to pull it apart and not be able to work around it.
Also, timing chain, based on the position of the tensioner I know where the chain is, just not sure exactly how to get to it (if I can do so through the clutch cover and cam cover, or if it is a major job). Unfortunately not much about that in the manual I have.
Any help appreciated. I can do it all by trial and error but would prefer to keep him oin the road as he is my commuter bike.
