thats normal when you are doing the initial 'break-in' of a brand-new motor........I got 140km out of the first tank on my 12 last year  .

As you run it in, the economy will increase slowly, you should be getting closer to 200km per tank once you have >1000km on board, and maybe 220-240 (depending on riding conditions/habits) once you have completed the run-in procedure.....

But you didn't buy the 10 because of its fuel economy heh ??

I get 300 - 330 on 19L in a zrx1200.
I'm starting to think thats pretty good, looking at you pesimistic figures.

I could get alot less if I wanted too though

not pessimistic figures, the 12's really guzzle :x thats the price you pay for 160+hp .....

I think if you did a full tank on a 12 doing the *fuel economy* thing on a highway, you could probably squeeze 260-280, before you ran *bone* dry.....maybe.....

350 k's out of just on 18 litres on a ZZR110 commuting to work. About 330 k's out of same amount of fuel doubling the missus up Mt. Glorious and on the big loop through Mt. Mee and back through Somerset Dam. And thats out of just under 150 hp. Why do 12's guzzle the fuel? Were they designed in Saudi Arabia?

ZZR1100. Not ZZR110. I keep forgetting the extra zero.

I get around 15-16km/ltr on my 9r - probably 17-18 if I were better behaved.
That gives me around 220km before reserve, ~250 if I'm good.
Found out on the weekend that Dave#3 gets more out of his '02 9r though - mine might just need a good service again.

On the 10 I get about 200k's before the low fuel light comes on and then you get up to about 50k's until splutter time.
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.

I've got a ZZR120 on my fuel card. Bastards couldn't fit in another zero. Goes OK for a scooter.

My old 05, 636 used to get about 200 before the light came on and another 50 if you were good from there. The Hornet out of interest which has an additional two litres capacity from memory, gets about 250 before the light comes on and another 50 from there. Although two up it uses a little more. two up the light comes on around 220 with 40 from there. Also when upping the pace solo it can drop range down to as low as 170 before the light comes on and if you don't settle down then only 30k's before it all goes quiet!

I have a 9R and I generally get 220-250 before reserve. The most I have got including most of reserve is 300km. Oh, and it has a 19 litre tank.

Yep, was getting about 340 out of a tank on the 11, till I dropped down a tooth on the front (trying to keep up with the boy racers). Now about 280-290. Now that I think about it, with 235 kgs of bike and 110 kgs of rider, that's fabulous.

Don't really go slow though

Around town I'm lucky to get over 170 before the light starts flashing, but then it'll only take 14L to fill it. Out on the highway, even with some very spirited riding, I was able to get 200km and the light didn't come on.

I wish I knew mate....... ......maybe I should do an 'economy' run, and see what I can squeeze out of the bastard......there is no way in hell I could get anywhere near 300km out of my bike...... :?
