Just letting you know I *love* this thing. It attaches to the throttle and you only need to use the wrist to do the deeds . No more sore wrist around town and I can imagine would be really good for touring.

Initially not too keen on using it on the twisties but tried it and it's no problems at all. It's also only at $6.5 at Peter Stevens.

Saw this firs on Tanya's bike, thanks !

Java i have one as well but remove it if things get really twisty like mt hotham it can get in the way but they are a great thing once you are used to them and let you sit bolt upright and still be able to use the throttle. :D

without it there's no way i would have been able to make the trip.. being able to relax and not hold the throttle when riding is heaven :D

i ended up with my left wrist hurting more than the right!

barrabob is the one to put me onto them, so i'll thank bob in return :D

I love my cruise control. And if I carry a big enough folder on the dash of the bike, I can just stick it out in the wind to turn corners.

Hmm interesting.
I almost bought one before the canberra trip, but decided it wouldn't make much difference as i often just rest the palm of my hand on the throttle on long trips anyway.
Might give 'em a second chance when the next big ride comes up.
What I'd really love is a cruise control like Nielp's .. super cool, but had a hard time finding anyone who sold them.

Nikos - I got one for the WSB trip, it was great for the longer boring stretches, but I found it got in the way on the *tighter* stuff  , so it went into the tankbag for those bits........which meant it was in the tankbag for most of the trip :D

they are good though, for long trips. One good thing about the 12 and the *fast idle* lever, is that you can just drag the fast idle around while doing 100k or slower, and the bike will continue at that pace without any throttle input.........and this means you can really get rid of the pins'n'needles in the throttle hand *ouch*......

Fitment is important, if you have it too high, you can actually push on the throttle while trying to brake.. makes it interesting

One thing that could be improved is the flex. It would be even nicer if no flex, maybe carbon material or something. But even now it's that good :D
