My fella bought my wreck off me and then bought the crashed one from the auctions. Both 6's are 03 model except mine was a month older.

The thing is... one has K2 (the younger one I think??) on the engine and the exhaust... the other has K1 on the engine and exhaust.

WTF is K1 and K2? does that make a difference to any of them?

The year of manufacture, like yours could be a late K1, and the other bike was an early production K2, etc
in the month in between they could have changed the manufacturing lines to stop making k1's and start making k2's.

im not familiar with the bikes in question, but the changes could be as minor as a colour/slight design change r.e fairing/paintwork, or it could be more drastic such as engine/gbox or swingarm/chassis design.
