Busters in England are offering a pair of Dunlop d204's for 99 pounds plus postage. It works out 120 pounds, or about $288. I know they're an older design tyre, but are they any good? My riding is mainly freeway with the odd ride day thrown in, if that helps.

I think something has changed with import duties. I've bought a lot of stuff from OS and customs have only picked up a couple of things, but the last thing I got was a new rear shock and all they hit me for was GST which was a bit kinder than what I've been stung for on other stuff.

Ewww, Dung Flops. And the older designs are crappier than the new ones.

I know D205's suck cause that's what my bike had on it when i bought it a couple of years ago. Who puts touring tyres on sportsbikes.
Best thing i ever did was get rid of those tyres(no confidence @ all).

That sorts that out then, thanks guys. I'll spend the extra and get em somewhere in Aus.

Nope, I find the concrete chips away and requires replacement far too often. Steel belts are the way to go.

ok...they r the most farkeded tyres ever..i had em on my vtr & it fell over twice...after 12000km they didnt look like they had been used...the hardest piece of shit tyres i ever saw....

yep, neka has hit the nail on the head, the 204's were superceeded YEARS ago, no wonder they are trying to flog them off.

and i know plenty of people who use sports touring tyres on sports bikes, some of them are farkin quick to

guess what - i've even see guys go fast on skinny cross ply tyres too
