I've got a gpz550/kz550 with 60 odd thousand on it .Any ideas what grade of oil I should be running in and older style engine?
I'm not sure that oils that are for todays hi tech engines suits the older ones.
Any help would be great
Gav.

I would use an SG or lower graded oil, 20W50. Havoline makes one.

Either the Havoline or Motul also do a mineral 20W50 that I've used

Thanks mate.Yeah I went for the 20w/50 worked well.I was using a motul oil that everyone raves about but it was burning it up, really Smokey.
I actually put Gulf western in it and it's fine.
Thanks Madcaw for the help,I can always rely on you for your technical support.
