There are many nay-sayers, but I am convinced by the tech certainly for most users. If I was fitting my own tires, I'd have tried this, but I'm fascinated to hear from somebody that tries it!

I had them a few years back.
When I had new tyres put on I had moved and the guy asked what they were.
After an explanation he was saying that unless you're going over 250-300 consistently they aren't worth the cost. I got them added for free so no big deal.
Also he noticed that I'd had a puncture repair done on the tyre and it appeared the beads were rubbing away at the backing to the repair and would have eventually caused it to fail if I had not replaced them.
This is my signature and it can say whatever I want.

After saying all that I liked the look of my wheels without the weights on though. Might look into how much they are to buy.

They make a mess when changing tyres if you are unaware that they're in there

Tire and tyre both mean a covering for a wheel, usually made of rubber. "No shit Sherlock".
Tire is the preferred spelling in the U.S. and Canada. Tyre is preferred in most varieties of English outside North America. Of course, all English speakers use tire in the sense to grow weary. :kuda:
