started this arvo what i thought would be a simple job to remove the front forks from the 12 after much grunting and a little help from the impact driver i finaly got the calipers off to the front wheel found i had to make up a tool to fit the front axle but only on the right side which is the axel side thats fine but the basted is so f@#**%ng tight it wont come apart any ideas how to make it easier i am guessing the last set of tyres it was done up with a rattle gun i cant remove the forks with the wheel attached because i dont have enough ground clearence

UPDATE ] ok after more grunting and straining i finaly got the axle undone with the help of propane and a flame but there was no rust or corrosion to help it stick would say it was definatly over torqued i was using my torque wrench for extra leverage and it was clicking at full lock which is 180 lbs i think i would have stuffed an aluminium hex wrench if i had one good thing i made one out of steel evil6.gif
