Which air compressor?

I am going to need an air compressor to pump up my motorcycle tyres.
My bike is likely to be either a ZX-6R or R6 and will be pumping up track tyres (if that makes any difference).
Compressors come in a variety of capacities, flow rates and power engines and I don't know what I will need.
I don't know what types or brands are of a decent quality either so if you know about air compressors, please let me know.
Below are a few links from some I've found that may or may not be OK:

Um not really sure why you "need" a compressor to pump up your tyres Nico. .....
Unless your actually changing your tyres on their rims all you need is a normal pump. I've got a $20 pushbike pump......

I have a Michelin foot pump.
It pumps up Dunlops ok but the Guage is only accurate on Michelins.
Don't need compressor.
Just a good universal guage

I've got a 20CFM compressor at home, but that's because I use it to power stuff like pneumatic star picket drivers
Also carry a battery operated unit to the track for small increases as the day heats up
Take the rim to the servo to inflate it. If you really want a compressor for that, any cheapie will do the job
Just read the airbrush bit……I dunno shit about that

I have one of these 'Project Air' by Spear and Jackson compressors in the garage
runs rattle guns, nail guns, spray guns... and pumps up the tyres

I got one of the supercheap ones on sale 7 or 8 years ago, still going strong. Works for painting & running an air ratchet. I also have a rechargeable batter compressor that I take to the track. There's enough shit in the van for a track day without lugging around a big compressor.
