DIY Carbon Fibre

Ok, so im looking at one of the sponsors pages

Just how hard is this to do yourself if you have NEVER _EVER_ done anything involving ANYTHING like this?

Because im having evil thoughts about Carbon Fibre Airboxes and snorkels, and anything else.

Main question is how do you make accurate moulds

How hard or easy it is depends on how well you want the finished product to look.
If you just want something of roughly the correct shape, that performs its intended function adequately, and don't care about how it looks, then it's pretty easy.
On the other hand, if you want it to look like a commercial product there is a lot more to it.
Regarding your main question, what do you consider to be ''accurate''?

Im pretty pedantic about parts at the best of times, eg have just bought new brake pistons because the old ones look like crap, so by accurate I mean the part will have to as close to a 100% replica as humanly possible, but this opens up a whole can of worms as the number 1 thing on my list that id like to see done in CF is the airbox.

Im also investing the "wrapping" option which looks more suited to an enthusiastic noob with delusions of grandeur and not the skills to back it up.

This is why I stick to engines, least I understand dirty great lumps of metal moving up and down and around.
