Dunno mate, was he fast? :?

He had 2 strokes and they were fast.

So I run it in my Ktm 525, and both zx10r's.

Maybe that would be ok for my old girl ;)
LOL at dickfaber !! great ad

Mal you must really scrape the shit out of your knee while riding that old z9 ? I can't see any chicken strips *at all* on those tyres mate !  you should show it more respect and slow the fuck down

FWIW I am trying to work out what was wrong with that photo of you on the nine with your knee down ? It looked pretty normal to me, just another track day having a ball ? Maybe if you used that really expensive UnobtainOil 0-5W (which has been strained through Liz Hurley's pussy shavings) - you might be able to get your elbow down as well mate !! :kuda:
Gos well there is practically none on the front but there is some on the back, not huge but as it has a 130 rear there is no way anybody could get them off as the profile on the tyre means you would have been on your ass well before the edge. And as for my knee there is also no way my knee is getting on the ground on the old z,it really is a little more dificult to get your knee down when your 5'5".The shots at broadford on the zx9 just came naturally as i am familuar with that track and have confidence with my lines there. One thing is true if i really want to go fast especially out of turn 2 i really lift my knee right up.Heres a pic with me showing the old girl some respect

ZX9's have run just fine on 10W-40 mineral oil for over 15 years. A 5W-40 semi syn is more than enough to spoil her.
The main thing you need to know is "OIL IS CHEAPER THAN ENGINES" Change it regularly and you won't have too many issues for many years . Put wiz bang intestinally fortified , chrome plated , double over head foxtailed super primo oil in every so often when you managed to save enough coin to buy it ... your motor will be junk pretty damn quickly .. ;)
Other thing is . Choose a quality oil and stick to it . Mixing oils = sludge risk.

Sorry to hijack this thread but would 20/40 5100 be best for my 93 ZXR750 motor or 10/40 for road use in Sydney?
It'll never (ish) see the track but may be some enthusiastic road riding.
Bike has 55,000K's.

I just changed the oil and filter in my ninja for no other reason than I knew the bike had sat for 2 years before I brought it. Being a car mechanic it's the first thing I did. I spoke to the dealer I brought the bike from and they recommended Motul 3100. Another Kawasaki mechanic in Melbourne said as my bike had done 2000 Kay's , he would put the 5100 in it. I went with his advice and to be honest it's a different bike. The clutch is smoother, gearbox rollover noise is barely noticeable and it just sounds nice and solid. So that's what il be going with in future.....just saying, cos everyone has their own ideas.

I only used one oil from start to finish on my previous B1 model, ie, after break in period, which should be a mineral oil, and that was Motul 5100 full synthetic.
Never had an issue. Just pefect !
I will use this too on my E1.
Cheers !
