At the risk of embarrassing myself, could someone tell me what the term "kit parts" actually means? The reason I ask is because I have come across a titanium exhaust for a zxr750 that is apparently a Kawasaki racing kit exhaust. I assume they are racing parts manufactured by Kawasaki themselves for their race teams?????? As opposed to after market race components manufactured by the likes of Muzzy and Akra etc etc. The collar numbers I have been given to mount to the exhaust to the head don't show up with the usual kawasaki part number search on their website, so i can only assume they are special!
Here's a picture of the said exhaust weighing in at a massive 2.2kgs

Kev the term "kit parts" means they were part of the race "kit" that was ordered separately at the start of the season from the factory.
the pic below is from the " Kit Manual" with the part numbers

Thanks Joe. Do you know if that info (kit manual) is readily available on the fancy young peoples internet or did you get the manual when you bought your RR?
This is the only other bit of info the seller was able to give me and it appears to be from the kit manual for the zxr.

Thank would be great if you could Joe, thanks heaps.
The guy wants $250 for this system, do you reckon that's a good price? I didn't think it was too bad seeing it's titanium.

I think that's a great price
Disregard my first diagram, that was for the ZX7RR.
Below is the correct one for the ZXR750

Thanks Joe. I just did a bit of searching and think I found the pdf kit manual for the zxr750.
I'll have a bit of machining to do to make the collars but I think it will be worth the effort.
