Power Commander Question..Maps

Postby Maddog » Wed Feb 22, 2012 8:48 am

Hi all,
Hoping someone can help.

Just installed a Power Commander PC III to the 05 ZX6R.
The bike has a Yoshi RS-5 slip on muffler and K&N air filter installed.

The problem is, I can only find a map for the Yoshi full system.
No map available for just the slip on muffler.

There are maps available for other slip on mufflers Akro ,Two Bros etc
Do I run the Yoshi full system map or perhaps use one of the other slip on maps.

Any help or suggestions would be great

Cheers.

Like has been said run a slipon map. Download 2 or 3 and compare them. They are probably all similar :)

Thanks guys
My thoughts were to use the Akro map
Seems kinda weird they do the Yoshi full system but not the slip on
Will try a couple on the next outing and compare them on the bum dyno :P

Cheers. :kuda:

Go have it tuned properly.

Loading unknown maps is like walking through a minefield. Most of the maps are from US bikes and most of them have different tunes from factory.

Thanks guys.

I had every intention to get it custom mapped in the near future.
Was just hoping, I could drop a map in it to gain a bit for now.
If no good with the couple I'll try on the next day out I'll go back to stock
Just finishing a few other things on the bike first then its off to the dyno for a tune and remap...(when/if the cashflow permits) ;)
