190 on ZX6R

So I pretty much want a clear cut 'dont be retard' or 'its fine'.

my rear is getting beyond its life - looking for a set and a member on here has a set for sale - 120 front same as ZX6R, rear is a 190/55 - the ZX6R stanard is 180/55.

Will the 190 fit, work OK, kill me?

I'm not doing any track days (if insurance wasn't a problem I would be). Just street riding evey now and then... to work etc. Its just a cheaper option at the moment.

Don't be retarded, they'll be fine ;)

Seriously they are fine. Supersport runs 200 without an issue.

I have a 190/50 on my 2003 ZX6R. That hasn't caused me any problems at all. I think the difference between the 190/50 & 190/55 equates to about 95mm difference in sidewall.

More like 5mm on overall tyre height.

It will change your steering geometry slightly. I don't know what the affect will be but it could intercourse things up. Try it and see, if it messes things up you will know. Oh, have a Jim Beam.

I've been running a 190 on my 600 track bikes with no problems for a few years now.

I had a 190 2ct on for a while thought it was fine, but like the feeling of the 180 more for the road.
