I have pods on my ZRX. They breath a lot more than a single filter but come with other downfalls such as getting water in them when riding in heavy rain. They suit the style of the ZRX so it's worth the inconvenience to me, but I doubt I would bother putting them on a modern styled bike. Are you running the standard filter with the airbox mod? I remember when I had my Z1000 opening up the airbox made a big difference but the paper filter also needed replacing with something like a K & N.

Also, what head work has been done? Are you still running the stock cams?
