Doing the fortnightly or so pilgrimage down to the garage to start the bike's (cause I don't actually ride anymore

) went to start the tracky and click click click wouldn't start

....It has had no trouble starting before and started at Marulan fine 3 week's before....My question is is the batttery farked loosing charge in 3 week's?...Or can I still rescue it by getting a maintenance charger etc....Also can I just jump start it off the car

Cold weather kills em, maybe try putting it on low charge overnite, if u dont want to leave it over nite, stick it on all day, see what happens? may come good.
My track bike sits in the shed for weeks on end, then i will fully charge it, start it and let it run for a while, let get to opp temp, then turn it off, its a 07 and still got original battery in it.

I was thinking about just jumping it on the car and just going down to the garage bi weekly etc to run it for 15min's.....I don't have a charger so would have to buy one and I'm cheap

.....

Get a maintenance charger I reckon Disco, it's really the fiscal thing to do because it'll pay for itself many times over if you have bikes just sitting there.

You don't owe me anything mate

.....Ideally I wanna do the set up like Rob with the plug and play socket hanging on the outside of the bike for easy access....

Yeah, what Russ suggested... I have 3 of Daves charges & they are brilliant I tend to do 1 week on & 1 week off roughly, when I remember

I use
this, the recovery mode will probably more specific to your issue. I left it on my battery whilst I was abroad for 6 weeks; worked a charm, seller is on ebay, offers free shipping....

i just plug in my Optimate 4 & leave the battery in the bike all winter in my sub-zero unheated garage
my original ZRX battery lasted about 9 years but i don't think it ever went more than 2 weeks without a charge either from the alternator or a Battery Tender Plus

m]Mine wouldn't hold a charge for than a couple of hour's, was about to get a newy but decided to experiment.
Took it out and left it upside down a couple of days and shook the shit out of it every time I passed it.
Charged for two day's and now it sit's for weeks and still starts first pop
Not supposed to work.....but fuck it...it did
