adjusting suspension hard to do?

hey,
its glenn, i ride a 1996 zx6r. it has an aftermarket white power rear shocky with i think normal front shockies. the bike was originally a race bike till i converted it to road. Thus im guessing the suspensions set to extra erect (hard) when i use it as a daily driver.
How do you adjust the suspension?
is it hard to do or will it take long?
Am i likely to screw anything up and crash as a result?

thanks for any tips or advice. cheers. glenn

Glennbo,
check out the files section on the yahoo ksrc site, there's a few bits on suspension set ups on there and a generic guide to what does what and where to find it on ya bike

Glenn,

like rossi said chech out the forum main page but also make sure the suspension setting on the forks match each other, otherwise it can give you bad shakes at low speed (60k's)
