ZX6RR Front Disc Rotors

Postby MrFaulty » Mon Feb 07, 2011 2:28 pm

Gday, I have a warp in my front disc - has been there for some time but it seems to be getting worse so figured I should replace it. Do I replace both, are any brands better than the other, is it worth looking second hend etc?

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks
Ben

Discs can be straightened. not 100% success rate but can be done. I have had one done on the 10r race bike and it is fine. I think Wattie has had the same done with no issues

not sure around Newcastle.

I used laurie Alderton in Smithfield. Cost me $50 or so to get it straightened.

You could always just post it to him if you can do with out it for a bit.

Sorry for the late response. Turned out it wasn't warped rotors/discs at all but needed to hit the pads and rotors with some paper!! Graeme Morris pointed this out to me and it seems to have fixed the problem.

Thanks
