07 zx6r valve issues????

Researched this a bit more and it seems the 02-07 & 03- 07 plated bikes are most effected (USA) and usually within the first 1500kms.
Teltale CCT rattle like noise is actually intake valve letting go and a head cover or head gasket leak apparently.

....
And it's more like a knock on start up that your looking for .....If I was buying one again (that I didn't know the history of) I would get them to take the rocker cover of so you could see the bucket's....That's the only way to really check for the issue....And mine is outside of those build dates so they don't mean squat....

Posted: Wed Jan 12, 2011 7:50 amOur 12/07 build date tracky made no noise or anything and just went BANG!!! Dropped a valve and totally fucked the engine. If you look at Ebay in the US there are heaps of cheap bottom ends where it's happened. Apparently the buckets wear prematurely and shims start flying everywhere.
If I were buying another I wouldn't touch them. Go a Mozzie I reckon.
