I was off to a nice afternoon ride, didn't make it to the next bloke!!!
lost control around a bend, luckily after hitting the kerb skidded on the grass not on pavement, "MIRACLE"

Result: Broken indicator, small crack on the fairing and speedometer faliure...

Lesson: Respect the corners/ bends specially on cold tyres, give riding 100% concentration!!

How can i check wats faulty? cable guage or something else on the speedometer?

1. Sorry to hear u had an off.
2. Check that the speedo cable is still connected on the tacho or the rim.
3. If cable is still connected in both places... check that the tacho is still working... if so just replace cable....
4. If nothing works then i have no idea.

yeah i was riding my ZXR250 one day and then all of a sudden the speedo just stopped working, turns out the cable snapped.. Its the cable that runs from the back of the dash cluster to the front fork. You cant miss it.. Unscrew it, check it, if its shagged get a new one, problem solved

Jeez - we waited until the lads had completed VCE before helping them onto licences and bikes! Last one has VCE Chinese SL on Tuesday and goes for his L's the following week. 2 weeks to get the FZR250 back on the road! The last of 4 learners... hair is turning grey...

Speedo cable or pick up off the wheel.

Yh its a bzy time for licences and learners...
