nah I wont be there. It is to flat out at work over the long weekend for me to go anywhere.

Will be there on the folowing sat though the 9th. As last time I am fine top try and show you around again.

I use 16 / 41 atm and I need to drop down a tooth or 2 on the rear I reakon. I hit the shift light at the 400-350m marker and downshift back to 5th at the 100m marker. That gives me about 260-265km/h. Would like to get another 5km/h hour I reakon.

I had 16 43 on my bike once at the creek and I was at the limiter in top half way down the straight.

Try just droping a tooth at the front to start with. It's cheaper and you'll pretty much run 16t on the front at any track in Oz ;)

I think you'll have problems fitting your chain on.. :-)

I'm running 16 front and 40 rear.. thats 1 down front and 1 up rear so not to far from what your suggesting.
Its good for up to 270 kph, and 39's... (and more top speed than Russ.. :-) )

I think Wattie is running 1 down on the front (similar to 3 up on the rear) and hardly gets into 6th...

I tooth down on the front is almost the same as 3 up on the back so what your wanting to do should be similar to what he is wanting to do.

17/43 (2.529) would be similar to 16/40 (2.50)...

I still don't think the chain will fit going that big on the rear though.. :-)

and as Russ said, drop one tooth on the front, its much cheaper...

I should be at EC on the 2nd.. testing.. :?

neither of us can do the 25th as it is within our testing restriction for the last round of the AFXC at EC on the 30th.
