2006 ZX10R Instrument Panel

Postby Mad RS » Sun Jun 27, 2010 5:02 pm

Hey Peoples,
I have looked through my service manual several times but can't find an answer. On the instrument panel what is the top left amber light for?? It's not the oil light so I'm not too worried. It comes on in the upper rev range around 11,000rpm. It's not a shift light is it??

Any help is much appriciated

Cheers

Chris

Hold both the REset and Menu buttons this will send the needle to your current shift light point.

Then press the reset button to move it up. You keep going to the end of the Tach before it will fall inot the lower rev range area and start the cycle again.

Not sure why you would lower it though ;) :D

and if you peress the mode button while in that adjustment mode, you can change it from bright, to dim, to flashing and to Off. 8)

Not sure if this is widely known but screwing around with the Z1000 instruments I found that if you are on the ODO, holding down Mode and Pressing Reset lets you change between KPH and MPH, as well as either C or F for temperature, or any combination. Probably works for all of this type of instrument.
