barnett clutch kit (feedback)

Postby grundor » Fri Mar 19, 2010 7:34 am

Hello all, been a member for a while but just recently made a post.Anyways my 7 is waiting on a new clutch off ebay to fly in from the states (barnett street race kevlar jobby with hd springs and steels).
I am actually wondering has anyone bought one of these kits and any feedback on the quality of product would be appreciated .

No probs in the Yamawhore - found I had to go 50/50 with the H/D springs though as stop start riding induced severe 'arm pump' with the much heavier clutch lever.
Fixed this issue a while ago by replacing the cable clutch with a Magura aftermarket hydraulic item ie KTM . Yet to re-fit all H/D springs (does not slip so may never happen ;) )

Got one in my trackie. Much more power and feel than the stocker I took out (which had 73,000km on it ). Two track days in and it's running fine.

Put one on the tracky. The quality seemed pretty good when I was putting it in. Only used it at one track day and I had a busted hand so i was only taking it easy. Hard to say what it felt like. My clutch hand was broken so I wasn't feeling much..

yep thanks for all your feed back i used shell synthetic , took it for a decent ride last night and the new clutch works a treat. Amazing the difference of a new clutch makes and you notice how much the old one was slipping before it became really noticeable. All ready for the snowy's this weekend woohoooo.
