The temperature finally got to 13 degress C. Saturday so I went for a short 173 mile, (about 281 Kilometers) ride. The race tech suspension is a lot better than the stock 2004 Z1000 suspension and the Muzzy full exhaust with my new PCIII map have improved performance throughout the range. Salt Lake City, Utah, USA has a lot of twisties and roads with no police so I stepped it up to about 140 MPH, (225 KPH) and it handled like a dream. Colder than a well diggers ass at this time of year, however. I needed a lot of Jim Beam when I got home.
A couple of years ago I was stopped by a copper doing about the same speed, (140MPH) and was he pissed. I think he thought I was a youngster. He had already called for backup and I thought I was going to the slammer for sure. He looked at my driving license and saw that I was born in 1945, told me I am old enough to know better and let me go, I was shocked. Cheers.
