Are Iridium spark plugs worth the expense or are the standard plugs just as good?

Iridium plugs claim increased horsepower, improved running, smoother power delivery etc......

i think the main reason for iridium plugs is long lasting.

they weren't invented when your bike was, so i cant say it needs them, but if you have the cash, i guess it cant hurt.

get them from us ebay, cheaper than in the shops here if you can wait.

they last alot longer.

I wouldnt use anything else on the newer injected models but for your model 6r I am not sure they would make a difference :?

Fair points guys, thanks.

The standard are the NGK CR9E plugs so I'll stick a new set in and go from there.

Cheers!

I just use standard plugs in my 7r......Denso U27ESR-N (equilivant to NGK CR9E).

Bought them off my local mechanic(Darcy - Bike Performance Enoggera)....... 4 plugs for $18. :)
