RED KEY

I don't get this :? :? What is the point of having an immobiliser etc if you can get a Red Key for $35 off fleebay ????????????????

It's a blank key so the costs would probably come when you get it programmed...that's just a guess. :?

Buying a red key is just like buying a blank canvas. You can put what you want on it, but until it is programmed (painted) it isn't going to do you a whole lot of good.

I know you can get blank Black (spare) keys, then use your Red Key to cut/program to fit your bike.........

A Red Key is a "one off" to match your locks, immobiliser and ECU, don't know how you can just get one of fleebay for $35 to fit..........

If you haven't got a Red key, you need to spend $2 or $3 grand replacing your ECU, locks and immobiliser..........

i pressume it is like buying a black key. you would still need your genuine "red" key to program it.

Maybe someone in the know can make a spare red key from the genuine red key......

Or maybe there's not even a chip in there and people buy them have them cut and passed off as red keys when selling bikes..... :s
