Nolathane Cush Drive?

Postby Victa » Mon Oct 05, 2009 7:30 pm

Hi All,

In the process of pulling apart and tidying up the new beast I have discovered that the cush drive is... rooted.

Well, every second block of it is, and you can't even turn it over and wear out the other half :?

I have a friend who makes things out of Nolathane... what would the feasability be of getting a replacement rubber made up out of Nolathane? Does it have to be all joined together as the originale is, or would separate secitions be adequate?

Thanks,

Chris.

probably be too hard. yes it is a great material for suspension bushings but the idea is shock compression when you bang it into gear, IMO it needs to be same "compression" as the original for these purposes.

Oh it would take a fair bit of milling from a block of it perhaps on a machine center, for a one off thats big costs.

But hey give it a go, tou never know 8)
