you already have these fitted to your bike mate - they are just not bling-style 'Muzzy' alloy stacks .

The jury is out on wether changing these actually makes any noticeable difference to a street-bike.

On the 1/4 mile, where 10'ths count - they are probably worth fitting. But for a daily rider ?? They cost a shitload, considering what they are, you can't see them (which is the main point of bling in the first place) - and OEM stacks will do a better job for 99% of the riding you are likely to do.

Yes your right gos, i was having a good look at teh stacks today and consideirng they are factory they are quite good design compared to other manufactures, and i agree they are expensive but if there is a decent gain in poewr could be worth it, but i've never ridden abike with aftermarket ones so i just dont know!

Yes your right gos, i was having a good look at teh stacks today and consideirng they are factory they are quite good design compared to other manufactures, and i agree they are expensive but if there is a decent gain in poewr could be worth it, but i've never ridden abike with aftermarket ones so i just dont know!....

There are power gains to be had, no doubt. But the gains are pretty small (compared to say a full exhaust) - and the cost is too much I reckon. The US forums (zx12r.org) have heaps of threads about aftermarket stacks, and the amount of dyno-testing that goes into a 2-3hp increase, is unbelievable - and it really is only a small increase in hp....

I almost bit the bullet and got a set of Muzzy stacks for the MFP12 a couple of years ago, but after pm'ing some of the players on the zx12r.org forum , it quickly became apparent that the hp these guys were chasing, was mainly for 1/4 mile drag racing, not normal everyday riding.

Factory Pro make em and you get about 3 to 4hp when combined with a BMC RACE filter, but they got varieing results... The race filter will almost get that on its own but I wouldn't recommend one for the street.
At over $250 bucks I think you could find better things to spend on, like suspension or track days.. Do you have a pc111.?

No PC3, got BMC race filter hto chucked it in today, made a nice bit of an improvement. Either gunna suss out full system or perhaps just leave it as is and go a pc3

The race filter has thinner gauze in it and a yellow line thru it.. Not really recommended for a road bike..

Hurry up and get ur PC3, zorst and get your air fuel mix right. The map on the Z was farked, had to wipe it and reinstall. Runs like a dream now and the air fuel should be 99% spot on.
As the boss said, better things to spend your money on like ZX10r rear shocks

id have to have another look i remember it being pretty thin, but i dont recall a yellow line, so could only be a street version instead!
