Great service

Postby Blurr » Mon Sep 21, 2009 4:46 pm

Unfortunately it is not from one of our sponsors but they shoudl be!!! :kuda: :kuda:

I had my bike in for 18000km service witht he guys at David Byrnes Kawasaki Nowra today and I dont think I have ever had any better customer service from a bike shop in my riding history.

I dropped my bike in at about 10am today to Dom and the team after finishing work (started at midnight) and I must have looked pretty shagged because they boys and ladies got me a coffee as soon as I handed over my keys. So seeing that I looked so tired they rushed the bike in to attempt to get me back on the road and home asap. :D

In any minor service I have had done on my bikes I generally find that I am handing over my keys, log book and cash only to get my bike back 6 hours later cleaned (sometimes) and my book stamped just to keep my warranty. I never hear any feedback what so ever about any issues or observations at all. Today I was told
- that they removed and soaked my chain as there were a couple of tight spots that they wanted to loosen up if they could.
- recharged (cleaned and reapplied the fluid) my K&N filter for free.
- changed my rear brake pads (after giving me a call beforehand of course). I dont think I have ever had my rear brake pads checked in a service before. And yes I know they all shoudl I have just never encountered it
thats all.
- Gave me a few little bits for my track bike that I was just generally asking about, like crush washers for my sump plug.
- They called around 4 different shops (including Honda   ) trying to find a dyno and prices as I need to get the tracky on one asap.

All this and the bike was ready by 12pm for me to ride away. For just $220 which is about $100 less than any price I usually find in Sydney  I was very happy witht he service from the guys and would highly reccomend them to anyone that is in the area.

I was also astounded as I went to ride away that they guys asked me about how fussy I am about my tyre pressures. They had just put in the manufacturers standard pressure as they all do but Dom tapped me on the shoulder before I rode off to ask me and then dropped them down for me just before riding away. It always used to annoy me that bike shops would do that without even asking. :x

Top service and great pricing. What more could you ask for!!! :kuda: :kuda:

Good to here stories like this..........

I just had my service done by a sponsor and although very happy with the bike, not so with their customer service, not bad enough to go into, but I won't be going back due to the customer service, the fobbing I got when I enquired about the ksrc discount and the travel distance from my place. :( :(

Awesome service. A few dealerships could take a lesson from these guys by the sounds of it.

Also not a sponsor and maybe interested......
I would like to mention that Redline motorcyles in Dandenong for those of us in the South East of Melb' and handy on the way to PI (independant) does excellent work and Tristian who runs it is thorough and lets you know of any potential issue and will talk and talk and talk bikes all day, between him and Suzi the dog you might get a word in 8) . He even found a few free fairing screws to replace the missing ones, ok not a big dollar item but still attention to detail. He has a dyno and does race prep.
