Electrical Drama on KH100

Postby Ticketyman » Sun Jul 12, 2009 7:34 pm

Ok, Previously thought this baby had a bad battery and wasn't charging. I assumed the charging coil was working as when bike was running the green neutral light would glow brighter when engine is revved. So I replaced the battery. All good for two rides, then on the third ride noticed blinkers and dash lights not working. Put multi meter across the battery and showed 4.8 volts, when running drops down to 2.8 volts. Does this sound like the rectifier? Does anyone know how to test the possibly faulty components?

Cheers,

It does sound like reg/rec. Had this prob on a CBR and replaced it, but I cant remember exactly how I tested it :?
