Ok, the gixers got 30000klms on it and after taking it to stage 1 i.e. pipe and filter I put it in to have the carbs / jetting done. Bike has run well once since, it keeps fowling the plugs. Mixture is not rich, does not use or burn oil, all leads have been tested and are good. Running hotter plugs now to keep it going 7's. The original coils are still in. What do you guys think?

at 30,000km the coils should still have plenty of life left in them.
Try running 95 premium (non ethanol) for a few tanks perhaps ..
A bit of Nulon or RCI fuel treatment doesn't hurt every so often too..

Had a few R1's and a YFZ600 play up on BP Ultimate and it's shelf life does not seem to be all that long if your bike sits around a lot.

Gixxa 6 and thou run a CR9E std or CR9EIX for Iridium post 2000 .

See how you go .. 8)

Thanks for the advice mate, since I bought the bike the longest it's sat idle with fuel in the tank has been 2/3 days. Most rides are over 100klm.
