If in gear, trying to remove big nut .. turns piston over ...

If on side stand ... turns rear wheel and piston ... ...

I used to do this years ago with my MX bikes without thinking ... now Ive forgotten how to get the farker off! ... must be old timers disease ...

Id be seeing if Dave #3 has one locked away as it is about your only choice of tools if she is on that tight

I got an impact wrench and comp. but prolly too far away for you (padstow)......

you could try getting someone to stand on the brake lever while you undo the nut. Or man up and get a impact driver, whole $25

Sorry mate, I don't got one. You could try a pipe through the rear wheel to lock it (wrap it in a rag first).

Get a mate to help, bike in gear and both brakes locked. Problem you have is long reach bar is giving too much torque which is transfered through to the engine. You'll probably do better with a shorted bar and a rubber mallet (similar to how an air ratchet works). Try both but with weight on the bike and bakes applied to stop the bike moving, perhaps even wedge the front up against a wall?

I got a Supercheap compressor and basic tool kit when they were on special - not flash hot, but managed to get the wheel nuts off the Kombi, front sprocket off the 10, rear sprockets off the 6 and even painted fairings. All up, compressor, tools and hose it cost me $150.

take it from me...GeePeeX7fiddy front sprocket nuts are tuffpharkers to get off
so
either Mike's suggestion...with rattle gun and compressor
or the long breaker bar (holding the bike still is an issue here)
or use an impact driver (with hardened socket please) with BIG smoter
to just get its started (then normal socket and ratchet)

go buy a can of penatrine and soak the farker first , then let it sit for 12 hours or so


and if that and the above still aint working then get yourself a bigger hammer.

Or just take it over to Dave's, drink his beer and watch !

Standing on the brake and a little heat on the nut may help . Those micro torches have a really fine flame and only cost about $30 from Jaycar , Dick Smith etc .
