Just thought id let ya know I finally found a manual for my b4 zx9r and took it apart to find the problem. (wouldn't shift into second gear)
Ended up with the engine on a workbench and decided we had to split the crankcase to find the problem, It seemed to be the shift drum had a groove worn into it and the selector fork that used that groove was worn.
Also looks like its spun a bearing in there at one stage
I ordered the parts from kwaka last week and they told me today that they are now on 'backorder' and it will be weeks before i can pick them up.. and they tried to charge me 384 bucks JUST for the friction plates in the clutch, no steels.. INSANE! I found aftermarket replacement for $100
Anyway the manual is in the manual place now if anyone ever needs it again
