ZX6R 98-99 help, - Stupid Dog chews bike

Postby Lushy » Fri Feb 08, 2008 10:21 am

HI
I am just about to recommence the new race season in Perth and I have my ZX6R 98 out under the pergola, all stripped. Well last night when I got home and my F***ing retard of a dog, bduh.gif has chewed, yes chewed away hoses and what looks like - some electrics :x
From what I can see - the bike starts all ok, the Temp guage working etc so I have no idea on what effect the connections has to the running of the bike and I dont particularly want any surprises while I am out on the track doing in excess of 250kms - if ya know what I mean

Anyway, I am asking if anyone out there that has a ZX6R 98-99 if they could please take a real close up photo of the engine casings, clutch casings and the reservoir hoses and post them up for me as I dont know of anyone here with the same bike that I can get a look at
I need to find out what I need to reconnect and what extensions I will now need to get........ggggggrrrrrrrrrr
Would be great if it could be done soon - like very soon as I am meant to be out on the Track on Sunday angry9.gif

Any help would be greatly appreciated - ta
signed Desperate

BTW - Ever tried explaining to a dog that your bike costs more that what they do - haha - not very effective I am afraid so if anyone wants a Ridgeback - shes is now going for FREE!!!

Hey Carly - fancy meeting you on here
In fact do you reckon you could take a photo of yours? Even that would help me a lot

you might be able to re-solder the wires up, these go to the regulator/rectifier unit, and keep your battery charged up. If you don't fix them, the bike will work until the battery goes flat..........and you don't need this on a racetrack..... ;)

ive seen stators on ebay!!

i had to buy one for my blade..OEM was $600!!

the stator is basically a generator for a bike.. it creates the energy to charge the battery...

sum places can re-wind them- but i dunno if they can fix the bits ur dog chewed...

to be sure, what id need to see is a picture of u holding the stator.. preferably naked or in a bikini or lingerie :P
