The Gixxer has one and i love it! 8)

My gear indicator works like this...

When it won't go up any further it's in 6th...

When it won't go down any further, it's in 1st...

Otherwise I match the revs to what I am doing. I've left the 10 in 5th on the freeway a couple of times, but never tried to go lower than 1st - yet.

It would be cool to have a gear indicator on the track hack tho - I think P.I. would have been easier

yeah thats the only thing im thinking of with it - Track days and just for highway cruising.
I dont have any dramas finding a gear - just sometimes when your cruising i have to remind myself what gear im in!

Geez it's not that hard to know what gear you're in, unless you're a once a month rider. Speedo and tacho. Use them.

We already have to watch our speedos like a hawk because of speed cameras, now you expect us to match the tacho too it.....on a 250 it may be easy but a 600 is alot different and a 10 l would expect it to be much harder :)

Buzzing along at 100km/h along the highway, yeah fair enough. Fanging around a track or in the twisties on a bike with a close ratio gearbox....not so easy

heh so does that mean your gonna map out all of your runs?

3rd in this right, 2nd in this next left, gear up 5, down to 1st next left.

pretty much useless unless you track a lot really.

wouldn't you be in 6th gear everywhere you go on a 250 anyway?
