Does the zx636 have upside down forks standard? If do are they easy to install on an 01 zx6?

The pre 03 (up to 02) zx6 had conventional forks.
The upside downs forks are a bigger diameter at the top so would require machining of or replacement of the triple clamp to mount up to the earlier model.
I wouldn't bother as the conventional forks were just as good, just not as fashionable. Get serviced, revalved and sorted and they are fine. Talk to Zenodamper, he can sort em out.

Apparently ZX12 front forks bolt on directly to a zx6!

Awesome movie that one Nick!

Nothing to add on the fork which ain't already said.... ;)

Aww yeah, as an edit and aside - sheesh, got me thinking of that Paul Kay movie; so forgot to answer a bit more...

...yeah, if u want aesthetics, then go USD for certain; but RWU A1P fork can still be good with some tickling, races were won on them prior to USDs being so widespread, and often the money spent is equivalent... - have done quite a few Gs, Js and As for people which were great fun to ride!
