Hi ya folks... it appears the good folk at matt mladin imports and yoshi RD in the USA aren't interested in answering this question... so I'll put it out to you guys.

My 9 has a yoshi rs3 oval slip on can.

It's got some scratches :( ...I'm tossing up metal polishing - but for the about the same price, there appear to be yoshi rs3's on ebay - but they're being quoted as being for GSXR's, blades etc etc.

Since I already have a link pipe and hanger, would any RS3 fit on the 9?? I dunno and can't tell from yoshi websites whether RS3 cans are subtly different to suit each different model??

Anyone with a clue, please share!

Taa.

Rob

u would need to measure up the distance between holes etc...and the diameter of the can hole.... Mike S can give ya more details (he made a roo? pipe off a zx6r fit his rf900)

the short answer would be "NO" ...but maybe if u measure it all up, and compare with other bikes... may require a trip to the wreckers??

It depends if its a slip on or bolt up if its a slip on then yes, the one on my zx7r was from a gsxr 2000, but was a slip on, ie. I had to cut off the standards flange and put on a link pipe, if on the other hand it has a bolt up section to mount it to the exhaust then no it wont fit as most manufacturers have differnt bolt patterns, ie my zx7r has a 3 bolt and the gixxer had a 4 bolt design.

We're talking slip on.

My RS3 inlet hole diameter is 57mm... a dude selling an RS3 for a GSXR has an inlet hole diameter of 57mm too... apparently all RS3's are the same oval dimensions, only the lengths are different...

Now I need to find other bikes fitted with RS3 Yoshi's and attack them with a measuring tape to satisfy my question... any of you guys have non kwaka mates with yoshi RS3's able to post up some dimensions????

don't use the RS3 for a ZX12R - they have a funny type of aluminium 'flange' fitted to the front of the pipe, to change the cross-section from 'circular' (stock engine pipe), to 'oval' (stock RS3 shape.)

Its possible to make anything fit anything with a bit of work and ingenuity........ ;)
