Gearbox issue

Postby KLR » Mon Dec 13, 2004 7:59 am

Hey Guys

I have noticed a problem, it has only happened twice but when changing back down to first it locks into position, I apply the throttle and it is if I am in neutral then I have to flick it backup and back down and away I go!! I have checked and the neutral light is not illuminated.

Is this what y'all call a false neutral? fucking motul    nah just kidding but dont know what it could be.

it did it once prior to an oil change and it just had its service and has fresh motul in it.

it is as if it is locking into first but there is no drive, so I have to flick it backup and put it back into proper first.

The neutral light does not illuminate.

Could this be a "false first"

rang Midtown and spoke to Tony, its gonna be looked at on Wednesday.

Have been advised that it maybe a spring thingamajigy that could be the issue and shouldnt be anything major. Its under warranty so its all good.
