In the dry not a lot. Aside from rubber movement you have the same contact patch. In the damp 2mm will win over 1mm every time. Once it's wet, neither will be much cop.

yep the difference is that at 2mm your exactly 1mm further away from new tyres then you are at 1mm. Go soft you'll thank me for it.
