The street fighter look

Postby Tnate » Sat Mar 17, 2007 9:12 am

[in reference to a 1994 zxr750]

A couple of weeks ago, some moron pushed my bike over at work. To make matters worse, the same person kicked all the indicators off, and jumped on the overturned bike a couple of time, just to rub it in.

Thanks.

Anyway, since all the fairings are almost ready for the bin, and I cant seem to find any replacement ones, I'm going to go down the road of converting the old girl to the street fighter look.

I'm just wondering if a couple of people have done it, and if they can post some photos so I can see what I'm getting myself into. Would be a great help.

Cheers,
Tnate

Sounds like you need to get some of the Melbourne crew together and pay him a visit.

plastic welding.

find someone who can do it.

you'd be amazed what can be fixed.

If ya still wana streetfighter it hang onto the busted bits so you can repair and swap it back for better resale prospects.

some of us avoid the heartache of smashing fairings, by buying bikes that are already fightered!!

Sorry Nathan, None of the big manufacturers make a fighter.

They do make Nakeds though

i've had 2 bikes that weren't fucked up that i've gone and made naked, you dont have to break them first to make them fighters (tho apparently theres nothing saying you cant do it AFTER  )

i dont really give a toss what you want to call a fighter, you can call a little postie bike a fighter if it floats your boat....

define a streetfighter vs a naked??

its a touchy subject....

if i pull my perfectly awesome headlight off my z and put a dodgy motox headlight on it does that make it a fighter??

if i put my headlight on greenys bike does that make it a naked??

its a pretty grey area, but when my bikes done, it will be a bastard son of a naked mother, and a streetfighter father!!
