Michelin/Metzeler/Dunlop/Pirelli Group Buy

Postby portaz » Tue Mar 06, 2007 3:20 pm

Hey guys,

Im new to the forum. Just picked myself up an 05 ZX636, and looking at upgrading the tyres on it.

OK. We have 2 different possible group buys going on here.... I think the best is to start again, and I will keep a seperate spreadsheet on who is going for what deal. I will outline them both below, as they are different and some people are keen on just tyres (1st deal), instead of tyres and track day bundle (2nd deal)

1st Deal) With A1 in ringwood: Michelin Pilot Powers Group Buy Only
If people are just after Pilot Powers, I am organising a group buy with them for hopefully around $370/set, which is what the R1 forum have had before a couple times.

Sizes for people to choose from are as follows...
FRONT
110/70 ZR 17
120/60 ZR 17
120/65 ZR 17
120/70 ZR 17
REAR
150/60 ZR 17
160/60 ZR 17
170/60 ZR 17
180/55 ZR 17
190/50 ZR 17

2nd Deal) With Sportbike Tyres and Suspension in Knoxfield: Michelin, Metzeler, Dunlop, Pirelli Group Buy with PI or Eastern Creek Trackday Included. (Steve Brouggy from Sportbike Tyres Email)
The conditions are as follows...
1. A minimum of 15 sets must be purchased (although they will be individual sales, they must be done within a one week period).
2. This deal can be used with any brand of tyre that we carry (Dunlop, Metzler, Michelin, Pirelli), but does not apply to slicks, wets or any racing compound tyre.
3. The Ride Day Voucher is for either Phillip Island or Eastern Creek and will have a 6 month expiry date.
4. Each set of tyres will be purchased at normal recommended retail price.
5. Each set of tyres will include fitting and balancing either at our Knoxfield store, or at Phillip Island or Eastern Creek during one of our event days.

FYI, RRP of Pilots and the like are generally around $510 for a set of 120 front, and 180 Rear, so if you take off around $180-$200, which is the value of the track day, your getting a pretty decent deal. Now with the vouchers, I have got word from Steve, that you can transfer them to someone else, if you can organise for someone to buy them (this will be done entirely by yourself, feel free to post in the thread for interest).

If you are keen on any of the following group buys, please PM me stating which group buy you are interested in (can be both), and include your full name, email address, what Tyre (if you keen on the 2nd group buy), sizes, and how many you are after.

Hopefully get together a few.

Daniel

My Pilot power rear is certainly due for replacement, getting close to a slick, pilot sport on the front is good for a bit I reckon.

Sounds like a good deal. I got this today from the Superbike School although it only mentions Qualifiers.

Free Ride Days thanks to Sportbike Tyre and Suspension…!

As if completing a level of the California Superbike School wasn’t reward enough, if you purchase a set of the brilliant new Dunlop Qualifier tyres from Sportbike Tyre and Suspension, for a strictly limited time only you will receive a free Phillip Island or Eastern Creek Ride Day! That’s right, a free Ride Day valued at up to $219! What better way to compliment your new riding skills than the awesome new Qualifier tyres from Dunlop and what better place to test them both than at a Phillip Island or Eastern Creek Ride Day. This offer is available exclusively to customers of the California Superbike School and is even transferable to your friends! For more info about this offer, or to arrange a tyre fitting, call Sportbike Tyre and Suspension on (03) 9763 6277 and Speak to Matt.

March Tyre Madness…
