rear hugger

Postby Barrabob » Wed Nov 17, 2004 12:37 am

Has anybody seen a decent rear hugger for a 04zx6r possibly a bit longer than the stock one? The stock one seems a bit short and the nicely painted undertail will get chiped to bits the first chance it gets.

I have been looking for a hugger too! There was a carbon fibre front fender on eBay a little while back for $90 I was gonna buy but it would look shit with the blue. I'll see what my researching comes up with. You can get them plain then you have to colour them yourself for pretty cheaps from what I can recall.

I think you'd have to get a hugger that covers the whole top half of the rear wheel to eliminate all the chipping of your undertray.
I just fitted some 3M (plastic clear-coat) to my undertray to protect it. You should be able to get some off-cuts from your local window tinting store for cheap or maybe even free :)

I'd try a search on the internet and look at all the different makes
then see if they sell to Aust.
My carbon one on my '01 is made by Carbo-tech ,I think thats the name, and I got it from Roadrocket in north Melb but there are lots of makes out there.

I have seen one on the net it was the same as a stocker but made in carbon fiber, black is fine but it needs to be a lot longer and although the one that is there is light iy looks/feels like its made out of the same stuff as a icecream container. One hot day on some new tar and theres going to be stonechips everywhere.
