Kawasaki Sportsbike Riders Club - Australia - Online Forum

Looking around $600 to get genuine carb diaphragms from Kawasaki for my GT- cost more than the bike, so am wondering if there is anyone in Aus that repairs them- i.e. fits new rubbers. Is there someone here that does the job? I know there is a mob in the UK that fixes them. They might be a last resort. Cheers!

I think you best find the model number of the carbs and start looking around at what other bikes they may have been used on...or if another carb altogether may suit...

Have you tried a reputable carby repairer. They may have a crossover for it or be able to get something made locally.

all depends really , you havent seen what i have had stashed in my shed , plenty of other people with stuff that one day they decide to get rid of

alternatively you buy a crashed , wrecked bike

oh BTW do you have a part number ?

I can tell you what other models it fits so opens your options for buying carbs

Bonester - you can fix diaphgrams with a connie and some rubber glue, It works mint and will last for years.

Not always. I have purchased a lot of sets of second-hand CV carbies over the years, often for nothing *but* the dipaghrams........and the throttle-slides, or butterfly shafts, depends on what the customers problems are with their original carbs. You just need a good wrecker who knows what you need and will give you good advice about the parts you are interested in.
