Looks like Yoda has said it all for me..:-)
Std fork oil is 5wt, I tried 10 wt and thought it was a bit harsh and found 7.5 wt and an extra 5 to 10mm in oil level worked the best for me.
I added 10mm at the rear adjuster..

sorry Dave...but thanks for the confirmation.....
interesting comment on the oil
I did try 7.5 w but it just didn't firm up front enuff for me
(the GPx has only limited adjustability on the front)hence the 10w...
and the slightly higher oil levels (which I came to..by trial and error)

cheers

Hey all tou big people out there.....
I've just got the front end back together with the heavier oil. The old stuff that came out looked pretty dark and stuffed.
Weather permitting I'll try and get out and set it up a tommorrow starting with the origional settings. Hopefully it'll sweat for next Sunday :D
Thanks Yoda and MadKaw. :prayer:
I'll let you know how it goes.

Bike suspension is setup for 68kg person, that included oil and settings.

Original kwaka oil is 5w.

That sucks for big ppl.

I'm 6 foot 4inches, how the fuck am i suppose to weigh 68 kilos.

Hey Mina, I think we'd both have to set up our bikes a bit differently. You see why next Subday.

Yeh, you could say that Yoda. I'm also 10kg lighter than the bike is origionaly set up for. Helps the power to wieght ratio tho. 68kg - 10 = not much!

Who are you kidding Mattyv? 58kgs!! You've put on at least 10kg in the last few weeks - I know what ya been up to....sittin on the couch, making excuses about bad ankles and not being able to go running, eating pizza, spending hours on this site posting, ignoring your girlfriend.... XXcomputer.gif sleepy4.gif I reckon those factory suspension settings should be just about right for you. If you're not quite 68kgs yet, just give it a few more days. happy1.gif qpepsi.gif tongue8.gif
