simple indicator problem

Pretty simple problem, looks like the negative wire on my left front indicator (sitting on the bike) broke, or got disconnected (hopefully)
Before I start pulling fairing off to get to it, (as I cant see any other way to follow the wire), is there any easy way to follow it though, check where the bullet point connects?

I read the manual but cant really make out where to disconnect the indicator from or how to pull it apart without removing the air intake.

any suggestions?

Tany is right dude. Awful lot of ram air out their on Kwaks.
Its not THAT hard getting the fairing off surely??

You very well may get in through the top, 4 simple steps....
- take off intake shroud, remove ram air tube
- get a skinny chick with long arms to connect for you
- find out she cant (or worse still half together)
- remove fairings and do it properly anyway... :wink:

Sometimes (nearly every time?) its longer to take the short cut....

haha...your right sometimes the quickest way to do a job is the longest way.


opps sorry forgot to say, its a zx9r 98(December), c2...

only problems with removing the fairing is it then becomes a minimum half hour to hour job, where as if i can just remove the parts on top of it i should be able to do it in under half that.

mate the bullet connectors are the shitest i have ever seen and the wires kawasaki use are the lowest grade ever. They do snap easily. Try to do a wire link between the two snapped pieces

I went to visit the guy i bought the bike off and he had a spare set of clear indicators (that where on the bike before the roadworthy) that he was nice enough to give me... pretty pleased with that!

anyway the indicators are the worst to get to! I could reach in and unclip my old across ones without undoing a screw! took us a while to remove the fairings, the ram air resonators... and that was just to replace replace the front two (turned out it was just a disconnected bullet point on the originals) for the small amount of work done, it sure took a while.
not the best set up for indicators, the new ones are cool though.

Would look better if you did the rears while you're at it :roll:
